It's been almost a month since this reunion happened...but it's never to late to share some pictures!
Matt lived in a house called the Rock House when we were in JMU. It was a great group of guys who all loved each other and the Lord...and were quite a bit goofy as well!!! Goofier even than I ever knew!
Well, it's been 10 years this May since we graduated from JMU, and a reunion finally came together! Even the wives and kids got to be a part of it. 5 of the 8 guys and their wives and 12 children gathered in Duck, NC at beach house (Thank You Mr. Miller!) for a weekend of fun. It was so wonderful to reconnect and get to know each other as adults! It was so encouraging to see each other still walking with the Lord. Our kids got along great and really enjoyed one another too. The weather was terrible - cold and rainy - but everyone still had fun, kids didn't go stir crazy, and we even ventured out to the dunes (Jockey's Ridge) in the midst of it all! We love you Rock House families and can't wait until the next reunion!!
The whole group - Purdys, Carrolls, Salvatierras, Millers, Prathers
The beach house had a movie room! The boys enjoyed watching some shows while we packed up and cleaned up the house!
Weathering the rain at Jockey's Ridge. That little Lucy is a trooper!
The boys (Matt with our boys and Laura and Michael with their boys) ventured out to the Wright Brother's Memorial while the little ones were napping.
With the kiddos in bed, the adults chatted and laughed and ate cookies!
All 12 kids at the beach! Amazing!
Baxter and Karina really hit it off! Karina is the daughter of Brett and Krista. One fun thing is that Krista went to Virginia Tech (Owen LOVED that!!) and was good friends with some of our favorite VT alumni here in Richmond! Super fun to get to know her better!) Perhaps they will get married some day...that would be so fun!
The crew walking down to the beach.
Mr. Michael helped the boys play Dominos. Good rainy day fun!
The ocean!
When the rain cleared up momentarily we put on our rain boots and went for a walk. The walk also included red light green light and Simon Says in the cul-de-sac near the house.
The double bunk bed room! Not much sleeping at first...too much fun!!
