Ava Louise Purdy!

We're excited to announce a new Purdy cousin that was born today! Ava Louise was born to Matt's brother, John, and sister-in-law, Anna. We are hoping to get up there in the next week to meet her and to introduce Owen and Baxter to their littlest cousin. If you think of it, be praying for them to have all that they need to care for each other and baby Ava in these first days and weeks especially.

Bday Presents

For the boys birthday, we got them each one thing. For Baxter, we got him a little hammer (poor 2nd child) because he loves one that Owen has, but it was wooden and splintering. He loves it! For our sweet music loving Owen, we were able to find a GREAT deal on a REAL guitar (guitarworksinc.net). He loves it too! I'll post videos of him playing soon - it's so fun to see him love music so much!

Baby Grayson

Our good friends Kyle and Jenny had their precious little boy this afternoon - Grayson Ryan Brock. We're so excited for them! Jenny was one of my college roommates and they are here in Richmond with us at our church. We love you guys!

Three Six 2009

Last Friday was the boys' birthdays! We have started to call it Three Six (for March 6th). What a day it was! It was more fun than I imagined to celebrate the boys together. We are so thankful that God made them and it was a joy to celebrate that and to enjoy them.

Owen started the day off with eating some Bee Cereal (honey nut Cheerios) with milk for the first time. He LOVED it!



We went to the Children's Museum of Richmond to celebrate (and for their birthday they received a membership - Thanks Grams and Grampop!) and then to Moe's! It was a great way to celebrate!

First Lollipop

Owen enjoyed his first lollipop a few weeks ago after one of Baxter's doctors appointments. He loved it. He holds it VERY carefully "like a string." Sweet little mind.

Snow!!

I didn't believe it was really going to snow until it started snowing and really sticking last Sunday. It was neat to watch Owen and Matt - they LOVED it. For some reason I was still a skeptic - this won't really happen - but it did! It snowed about 8 inches! Matt was off Monday and Tuesday already, but it was fun to have snow to be off in too. Besides feeling a little cabin fever, it was fun. All of us (except Baxter) enjoyed being in the snow, walking in it, crunching it (o's favorite part!) and making snow angels. Here are a few pictures.
